      • Scott

rick, i wiped data and all the caches and installed, worked like a charm. this rom is blazing fast and i even like the launcher even though i prefer go launcher, its real nice and like i said super fast

    • admin

      Yes

    • jtaran06

Rick its nothing like liquid 3.0… It reminds me of a blurless gingerbread.. I flashed back to stock gb intill liquid releases a camera fix

Hey guys what is the best way to restore sms messages? I have SMS Back up and restore by Ritesh Sahu but of course Moto has that timestamp issue and whenever i restore messages they are totally out of order. Is there a way around this, another app that works or some hack to correct this? Thanks in advance for any feedback guys.

Is anyone else having problems flasing the ROM? I tried to flash over miui and it didnt work. I SBF’d back to 605….rooted….and have wiped and reset phone and redownloaded numerous times and it continues to abort the flash…..help???

    • ripncny

Yes, you need to sbf back to .602 when coming from miui I believe because of the kernel…? You may want to sbf, then take the OTA upgrade to .605, then root, then flash. Also may need to clear data in stock recovery after flash.

      • ripncny

Of course, wipe data, cache and dalvik before flash

    • Icecoldbeer

I flashed over liberty without problems. try sbf 602, then Stock-Rooted-Deodexed 4.5.605 Gingerbread For Droid X, then shuji. and wipe data……..

  • Musixian

Does the bluetooth work with this shuji mod?

    • Musixian

Why, yes it does… 🙂 The venom theme is very hard to read, especially the info in the info boxes (e.i. superuser request – yes / no boxes)

  • rick

Does wifi tether work with this ROM?

    • admin

Not automagically. You’ll need to flash the wugfrsh tether patch

  • Rick

Where can i find the that tether patch?

  • Rick

    Never mind i found it.

  • Droidx90250

    will this get powerboost ?

    • DK

waiting on this answer as well before i flash it

Curious if anybody has been able to get swype to work with this rom. I love the rom so far and very impressed with the battery life but I really like using swype.

  • rick

Swype does work. Im using it.

  • Eric

The Bionic camera in 2.5 is horrible…how do I get a hold og Mobile Sensei to tell him???

  • Jculver

powerboost works with this rom, i’m running it now.

  • Rick

I flashed this rom then I decided to return back to liquid 3.0 and it’s still showing the shuji boot animation how can I fix this

    • admin

You can sbf to get rid of the boot animation

      • admin

Or you could install one of the animations from the liquid settings

  • Rick

Its not acctually the boot animation its a stamp right when I boot my phone up thats white and says syndicate or something along those lines then the liquid boot happens. I tried installing a different boot animation within liquid but it Doesn’t change when I boot backup…?

  • ksting

Anyone else no longer able to boot into clockwork after flashing this ROM? My phone seems to be working great but the clockwork has gone bye bye. I am not not able to backup this ROM nor can I flash any others. And yes I still have clockwork loaded. It just won’t boot into it. Anyone else having this issue??

    • admin

Try rom manager if d2bootstrap isnt working… dont know why it wouldnt though

  • ksting

Doesn’t matter which method I use to try to access clockwork. It won’t run at all. It just boots right back into the OS again. If I do a bootstrap I get the little android with the exclamation point but can’t get past that either. Have to do a battery pull at that point. I’m liking Shuji 2.5 but at this point it’s like I can never flash it again.

    • admin

      You will need to sbf

  • Rick

What do I need to sbf. And wherewill I find it?

    • admin

In the HowTo Section “how to sbf droid x”

  • Themistah90250

I like this rom I haven’t found any issues and the battery life is pretty good…..just a question which theme will work besides the bionic series……since it says other themes need to be ported to 2.5.

  • Themistah90250

Since im new to flashing custom rims and rooting I apologize if my questions sound dumb…….I flashed this rom to a DROID x and was wondering if swype is something that can be flashed and if it can where can I get it ….thanks.

    • frostyicy

      beta.swype.com

Just follow the instructions from the site.

  • Izzo0825

I like the rom but for some reason my battery sucks on this and my bluetooth isnt working right.

    • admin

Odd shuji roms normslly ave superb battery life

      • Izzo0825

Ive had my Droidx since the first release date and I am using the same battery. Could that be an issue?

  • DonBeast

After I install shuji can I replace DROID 2 bootstrap with DROID X bootstrap?

    • admin

you can use DroidX bootstrap if you disable usb debugging

  • freddy90250

Bluetooth doesn’t seem to wor well… it will connect and then drop connection in a few minutes of use….any one having same issue.?

  • DaveP

On the instructions and download page for Shuji ROM 2.5, the MD5 code got changed and is currently wrong. The code from the old page is still correct for the ROM download.
    MD5 = 7F204183B10EB50A0B9AED35845C5BB5
