ROM ICS MIUI 1.11.9

DroidX users! Finally we are getting some elements of the ICS Sdk ported into a rom for our device. This version of MIUI is basically all that you know of MIUI so the normal ios no app drawer feel with all the normal Miui goodies, except this time it is mainly built on the ICS framework (this should enhance performance, speed, battery life) and it is ICS themed with ICS boot animation, ICS lockscreen and ICS style hotseat (which you could have a full fledged ICS launcher if you want to download it from the market) It also has a fully themed notification bar, themed clock, and themed apps! It looks pretty slick! Since this is a test build however dont expect that it will be a perfect daily driver. There are still some kinks to be worked out. I still think you will definitely want to try this Rom out!

    I have been running this for a week or so and love it. Does anyone know what the 1,2,3,4,P widget is? Just curious. i have yet to see that. The only thing that turns me off about the MIUI builds are the camera! Love the setup though!

    Any reviews on this ROM?

    It erased clockwork recovery. tried flashing again with rom manager and D2 bootstrap to no avail. SBFing as we speak.

  • Rick

    Well i went ahead and flashed it so far running really nice not complaints. I also went ahead and installed ics launcher from the market to get the full ice cream sandwich feel and it looks awesome.

  • Rick

    Well everything was working fine now i am getting constant force close on almost every app. and i am having trouble booting into any recovery not looking good.

      Did you wipe everything before installing? Everything shouldnt be fcing.. it is a test release though so expect that some things arent working yet. To get into recovery you must install Rom Manager, then Flash 2ndinit recovery then reboot recovery and press volume down when you see the blue light flash

    Ok so I reflashed everything is looking but I am getting fc from the market. Anyone else having market fc

    Really loving the rom. So far all seems to be working successfully.

    Battery life is stellar!! I had major issues getting more than 5-7 hours out of the new Liberty.

    Need help, I was having issues with this rom so i went ahead and sbf’d back to .602 then took the ota to .605 then i rooted using pete’s one click then i went ahead and flashed this rom again using clockworkmod DX 2nd-init it was working great for about 2 hours then i started experiencing FC. I installed ics launcher from the market which looks great with this rom but it seemed to cause even more FC. Not sure what to do i tried fixing permissions but that did not help. If anyone can help i would really appreciate it. I also read on a DX forum of 2 other individuals who were having similar issues, but i also read of individuals having no issues.

      I have been seeing people going both ways with this. I may have one FC a day, which doesnt affect anything im doing. I havent experienced any issues with the ICS launcher.. Works great!! Hopefully sometime in the near future they will update MIUI for our X with the ICS framework. I have read that is on the backburner.

      Good morning Rick, have you performed all 3 wipes in clockwork recovery before flashing your phone?
      * Wipe Data / Factory Reset
      * Wipe Cache
      * Wipe Dalvik Cache
      If you can please try it again I have been running for 3 days smoothly. I have notice very few minor FC due to installing 3 party apks from a 3 party website which I expected, otherwise it is running really nicely. I hope this helps, good luck!!!

    TO RICK…JUST SBF BACK TO FROYO, ROOT IT AND THEN USE THE DXBROOTED ROM WITH GINGERBREAD ROOT. FROM THERE FLASH THE ROM THROUGH RECOVERY.. MAKE SURE YOU ERASE EVERYTHING…

    I just flashed this last night. It’s working well and feels quite snappy. It blows Quadrant right off the scale.

    A lot of my work day is spent in areas with poor to no reception. Vortex and Shuji were giving me 50% to 80% battery at the end of the day, depending on how much time I spent in zero reception areas and how much I actually used the phone during the shift. I’m eager to see what the battery life will be when I get back to work.

    The only issues I have seen on this rom is the camera. I was very happy that whe I opened the camera,it had zoom. However just the past couple of days the camera as turned out to be very blurry. Any suggestions tyo flash a new camera, or even a link to download a camera. Please
