The deal that was hanging in the balance is now complete that China antitrust authorities have finally signed off on the Google/Motorola acquisition. The US Department of Justice as well as the European Commission had signed off on the deal back in February. This was the last step in closing the deal. Google hasn’t yet changed their tune, and still say that Google and Motorola will remain separate entities. However that could all change and within the next few years we may begin to see all kinds of “Mogle” or “Googarola” products. Time will tell, but some android manufactures may have hurt feelings if Google’s Nexus line is Moto only. Hopefully we might see a change in Motorola’s stance on locked down devices. That may just be wishful thinking.
