Samsung reported 52 million units sold in quarter 2 as compared to Apples 26 million iphone sales. That is double! Many of Samsung’s 52 million unit sales came from the highly anticipated release of the Galaxy S III which quickly sold 10 million units. Samsung has many other types of phones in many price ranges which also contributed to their high volume of sales. Samsung really knows what the public wants. Choice! They have shown the reason that Apple is quick to sue instead of innovating a better product. All of these sales contributed to Samsung’s reporting a profit of $5.9 Billion for the second quarter of 2012.
