The Android Gaming console OUYA has gotten tons of media attention, and has really excited the masses. The Kickstarter ended earlier this week and raised nearly $8.5 million! The game console packs a tegra 3 processor. If you chipped in on the kickstarter you were guaranteed one of the first consoles. Now you can preorder one of these sweet gaming machines for $109 and it is expected to ship next April.

As far as I am concerned this will not compete with the next gen console in the same way the kindle fire does not compete with the Ipad, at least for now. As more and more super great games come out for android like GTA, Need for Speed, this type of gaming console could be the next big thing. Until game devs focus more time on the mobile platform I still think the PS3 and Xbox will continue to sell tons of units.
