The rumors have been running rampant as of late that the un announced Coolpix P7700 would also be running some version of Android. The website Nikon Rumors posted some “leaked” images of the camera running full fledged Gingerbread! When I first heard of a Nikon running on Android I thought first of the Amazon Kindle fire “running Android but not really”. I imagined a heavily skinned version of Android that would make the camera look more like a camera than a phone, however the leaked images paint a totally different image. If the rumors are true this could be pretty awesome. It would be pretty sweet to easily be able to load photos straight to facebook or twitter from the coolpix screen. We can’t read to far into these leaks as they could be early mockups.
