It would be easy to assume that Google is finished with the Nexus program since we didn’t see a new lineup of Nexus tablets at I/O this year and since we are seeing OEMs releasing Nexus Experience versions of their devices. During D11 Google’s Sundar Pichal reiterated that the Nexus program is not done. We also recently learned that the X phone is real… who knows maybe we will see stock android on that device as well, and we will more than likely see a Nexus 5 in the fall. LG is still fully open to partnering with Google for a Nexus 5 device according to an issued statement on the subject.
If OEMs are moving towards including the Nexus Experience on every device do you even care for a pure Nexus Phone?
