This year at Google I/O most of us expected a new version of Android and I personally expected to see some new Nexus tablets. These things did not happen. Instead a “Nexus Experience Galaxy S4” was announced, and some google apps were updated.
Rumors are developing for the release of Android Key Lime Pie which is said to arrive in October on a new Nexus 5 device. Some rumors have placed it releasing with the X phone, but this can’t be the case since the X Phone should be released by the end of the summer.
According to the Android Community tipster Google is working towards optimization. The new OS should be so smooth that it would work flawlessly on even phones with 512mb of ram and a single core processor. You can take all of this with a grain of salt.
I do however fully expect a new device and a new version of Android from Google as this has been the pattern for them over the past several years.
