
The Droid X lives, or at least Motorola has decided to finally knock out some bugs in this latest bug fixer. This latest update to 4.5.621 promises to get rid of lots some reboot issues, fix camera settings, reduced out of memory errors, and some other very much needed fixes. This phone has been in action in my home for almost two years now. It was one of the first super smartphone devices. I remember thinking to myself when i first purchased the DroidX, how can it get any better than this! We know that this update will not be ICS, but we can hold out with hope knowing that Motorola continues to push out updates!

With this update on Droid X, if we have rooted and wft do we need to set back to non root state?…will this update send info back to Verizon telling them we have rooted and wifi?

Thank you so much, followed your instructions on Droid X rooting several months ago and now the wifi tether…both work great…of course my wife now wants me to “fix” her Droid 2 so she can do what I can…looks like I’ll be looking over your forums from Droid 2 fixes…how can I donate to your cause…

Yes, but you shpuld be able to maintain root via vooodooo ota rootkeeper grab it from the market

Yoi will need to roll back to stock to receive the update… custom roms block verizon updates

I’ running apex 2.o RC4, now, It works great, no dropped wifi, it connected right away with google and installed all my stuff with TiBu. Don’t know if I want to do the upgrade and maybe loose root.
