Latest Galaxy S5 OTA Update Packs On The Pounds With 47 MB Of Added Bloat!

One of the biggest reasons that every good rooter roots is to remove that stank bloat ware. You know the apps that carriers add that you never wanted in the first place which undoubtedly line their pockets. We like to remove these apps first thing, but AT&T has a different philosophy apparently. The latest OTA update for the AT&T Galaxy S5 adds an additional 47 MB in bloat. On a phone with only 16GB of internal memory that is a BIG deal. Bloat ware not only takes up space, it also bogs things down slowing up the UI.

Galaxy S5 Prime Coming In June With Higher End Materials and Specs

It appears that Samsung is preparing to release another more advanced variant of the widely popular Galaxy S5. This is no surprise as they have been known to release several variants of the same device in the past ie mini versions and active versions of the S4. The latest version of the Galaxy S5 will be sporting some higher end materials and specs. Sources have revealed that this device will be released in June and will be a limited edition. It might even be so limited that its release will be restricted to South Korea only. This is unfortunate as it looks like a pretty amazing device.

verizon_xperia_z2_google_plus_post

Today Sony posted a Verizon Xperia Z2 to their Google+ page! Many of you have been wishing for Sony phones to come to Verizon. Sony has been pretty developer friendly with their phones in the past. I am excited to see whether or not they lock down their devices for Verizon. If they keep the device open and easily rootable I think ill be grabbing one of these at release! So far there is no information on a release data or pricing. All we have is the photo released by Sony. Apparently the image was quickly removed, so one could wonder if this was even supposed to be added to Sony’s Google+.

Will you be giving Sony your money if this flagship comes to Verizon?

Tony Hawk Shred Session Headed To Android!

I can remember spending hours on end playing Tony Hawk Pro Skater on the trusty old Dream Cast and then later on the Nintendo 64. The new Shed Session game that is coming to Android is not like Pro Skater in the sense that you don’t put together a timed run. This is more like a downhill skate with ramps. You swipe from left to right to hit the ramps and do tricks. You will also be collecting coins like on Temple Run. There are 6 pro’s to choose from. The game features two separate modes, a monkey see monkey do mode, a survival downhill mode, and a vert mode. This game is set to be a popular time waster.

lg g3 event invite

Today LG sent out invitations for a device unveiling for May 27. They are asking the media to save the date for a Simultaneous event which will be held in London, New York City, and San Francisco. The invitation is super simple and does not mention a G3 release specifically. It only has the quote “To be simple is to be Great!” The “G” is capitalized and bold. This could only mean one thing! The LG G3 is coming! LG has confirmed that the G3 would release in Q2 of this year. They only have May and June to get the job done.

The LG G3 is expected to have a 5.5″ QHD display, 3GB RAM, rear button, and a newly designed UI.

Motorola Announcing New Device On May 13!

moto e may 13

The last few phones that were put out by Motorola were received with overwhelming fan fare. The Moto G quickly became the highest selling Motorola smartphone ever. The Moto X was pretty popular too. It appeared as if the Google acquisition had brought Motorola back from the dead! Then the unthinkable happened just as Motorola was on the up and up they were bought by Lenovo.

Motorola sent out invitations today to an event where they will announce the next Motorola handset. The event is set for May 13 in London. Maybe this will be the first device that Lenovo has had its hands in developing, but it will more likely be what was left in the release pipeline. It seems like this will be the release of the rumored Moto E which is another phone created for emerging markets like the Moto G. Why not repeat the highest selling device in company history?! The Moto E is expected to release with a 4.3″ 720p screen, 1GB Ram, 1.2GHZ dual-core processor, 5MP camera, and 1900mah battery.

Are you interested in another cheap mid tier device from Motorola, or are you ready for the Moto 360.
