We have heard rumors since the release of the Galaxy S8 that this years flagship from Samsung would be released early. There had even been some extreme suggestions that we may see a teaser of the video at CES 2018. While we won’t see the release of the Galaxy S9 at CES, Samsung just confirmed the launch timing.
Samsung has confirmed that they will be launching the Galaxy S9 at MWC 2018 in Barcelona Spain next month. The event begins February 26th. This means the device will be launched about a month earlier than the Galaxy S8 which released last year in March. It was the President of Samsung Mobile business DJ Koh who confirmed the launch of the device at MWC. So far their is no official launch date. The device will likely be hitting the market earlier since it is launching earlier. Nothing is official yet, but we expect the US version to come with a Snapdragon 845, upgraded camera, and better placement of the fingerprint scanner. Who else is getting excited?!
